Health & Safety
We're taking extra precautions because you deserve it!
The families we service and our staff are top priority at Our Kids Can. Regardless of the pandemic, health and safety are and will continue to be major focus areas for us. To protect families and staff, we have created polices and put extra precautions in place to avoid sickness. See more details below.
COVID-19/ Sick
PRECAUTIONS
Facial masks are required at all times while receiving services from our center. Parents are required to provide their child/children with masks. Temperatures are checked upon arrival and throughout the day as needed. If you child’s temperature is 98 F or higher, we will monitor for fever (100.4 F). If your child has a fever, injury, or is ill, we will request your child be picked up, transported home, or taken to the hospital. Parents must meet and relieve our staff at the hospital ASAP. If COVID symptoms are present, the child is required to have a negative COVID test before returning to the center. If the child is too young to be tested, you must provide documentation of a doctor’s visit stating she/he does not have COVID. We ask that your child stays home for at least 2-3 days from signs/reporting of sickness to allow cold and or COVID symptoms to subside. Please be understanding that our goal is to protect all children, families, and ourselves. We can only do that if we all are well and COVID-free. Our staff are monitoring wellness within the center and following the latest guidance from the CDC. https://www.cdc.gov/

My Family Should Stay Home If Our Child(ren) .....

and/or has any symptoms related to COVID-19. They should not return until they have been well without medication for at least 24 hours.

Vaccinations and Testing
We at Our Kids Can respect our staff member's decisions to be vaccinated or not vaccinated. However, staff who are not vaccinated are required to provide negative COVID testing results on the first day of their weekly shift to return to work. Staff are held to high expectations for health and safety, and nothing less is accepted.
